Foster Ellis, Jr., President / CEO of General Maintenance Systems, Inc., has extensive business experience and is an advocate on behalf of small and minority-owned businesses. His vision and commitment have given him a leadership role in business, economic and civic contributions. The key to his business success has been a sound business plan and ample capitalization.
F. Ellis, Jr. demonstrates exemplary volunteer efforts in various capacities to enhance minority small business interests. He serves weekly as a mentor to underprivileged boys at a local elementary school. Beyond offering lessons from his personal experiences to area students, Ellis provides job training skills and other educational opportunities to ex-convicts and many others who need a second chance.
F. Ellis, Jr. was recognized as one of the 1996 Top 40 Businessmen by the Mississippi Business Journal and Regions Bank. He is also a graduate of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership's Leadership Jackson program and District Chairman of the Andrew Jackson Council of Boys Scouts for the Central District.
